How to Sculpt Your Jawline

Girl getting injected for sculpted jawline | Arabella Medical Aesthetics | Knoxville, TX

2023 – the year of the “snatched Jawline” as the kids are saying these days… whether you are trying to achieve a more “snatched” jawline, improve jowling, or work on restoring your natural profile – we may have a solution for you!

One of the first steps to creating a more defined jawline would be to address any excess adipose tissue, or fat, under the chin or to the jowl area. Our office offers a medical-grade injectable that is done in the office (without the downtime of liposuction!) called Kybella! Kybella is a series of small injections into the fatty tissue that causes permanent destruction of fat cells. If your provider deems that you would be an appropriate candidate for fat reduction with Kybella, we recommend completing a series of treatments prior to adding filler. For more information on all things related to injectable fat reduction – refer to our blog on Kybella!

So you’ve completed your treatment series of Kybella. Now what?

The next step (or first step if Kybella was not needed), is to add filler! In 2022 a new filler, Juvederm Volux, was FDA approved in the US for improvement of moderate to severe loss of jawline definition. It is the first of its kind and the only one on the market that is FDA approved specially for the jawline. Volux is a hyaluronic acid filler that is thick in nature which makes it perfect for adding volume, contouring, and providing lateral pullback of lax skin. Volux is also currently approved to last for up to 2+ years! Depending on your goals, the results of Volux can either be jaw dropping (pun intended) or more subtle.

The best way to determine if you are a good candidate for jawline augmentation is to schedule a free consultation with one of our nurse practitioners. We can’t wait to see you!
