Kybella

A non-surgical fat dissolver.

Why we love it:

  1. Our advanced practice providers will apply a topical numbing cream. Once you are numb they will clean the area and apply the Kybella injecting grid guide to your chin.
  2. The provider will then begin a series of small injections across the treatment area.
  3. You can expect mild to moderate swelling in the area being treated for approximately 2-3 days. Length of swelling varies from patient to patient and your provider will discuss this with you prior to treatment.
  • Expect swelling – schedule your appointment accordingly. The more swelling you have, the better your results will be.
  • Let your provider know if you have any Thyroid, swallowing, or neck issues.
  • If exercising on the day of treatment, do it before your treatment.
  • You cannot have irritation in the area being treated.
  • Arnica supplementation can be started before treatment if desired.
  • You cannot get Kybella if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Avoid exposure to extreme heat (hot tubs, sauna, tanning beds, etc.) for 48 hours.
  • If needed for discomfort, Tylenol is preferred.
  • No exercise for the rest of the day.
  • No aggressive rubbing on the area that was treated.
  • Avoid applying makeup for the rest of the day following your treatment.
  • You may gently wash the treatment area and apply skin care or body products that evening after treatment.
  • You may experience bruising, numbness, and/or tingling in the treatment area. Topical arnica may be applied.

More than one (1) treatment is often required for optimal results. We recommend treatments every 6-8 weeks if additional are needed.
